Resumo
Os autores apresentam o desenvolvimento da Jacareúba (Calophyllum angulare A. C. Smith) Guttiferae, em cinco parcelas experimentais diferentes, sendo duas plantadas em plena abertura, duas sob sombra de floresta primária submetida a cortes do sub-bosque e uma sob sombra de floresta secundária. Analisam o crescimento da espécie em diâmetro, altura total, volume real com casca, incrementos médio anual e periódico anual para duas variáveis (altura e volume), incrementos/ha/ano e a percentagem de sobrevivência anual em cada parcela. Concluem que o maior desenvolvimento da espécie ocorre em plantio feito em plena abertura e a recomendam para futuros projetos de reflorestamento na região amazônica, visando produção de madeira.
Abstract:
The authors show the development of Jacareûba (Calophyllum angulare A.C. Smith) Guttiferae in five different experimental stands. Two of them were planted under full sun light, two under primary forest submited to thining of the understorey and one under the shade of the secondary forest The growth in diameter and height, the true volume with bark/hectare, the average and periodical annual increment in height and percentage of annual survival in each plot were analysed It is concluded that the species growth is greater under conditions of full light which would be the system to be recommended in the execution of future projects for wood production.
