Essential oil of eugenia punicifolia (HBK) DC

Abstract

The essential oil of the leaves of Eugenia punicifolia collected at two different locations of Amazon have been examined by GC and GC/MS. Both essential oils are dominated by mono- and sesquiterpenes in low percentage. The chief constituent was β-caryophyllene (23.6–32.9%). © 1997, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
