The document is an executive summary of a Rapid Social and Biological Inventory conducted in May 2025 in the Upper Içá River region of Amazonas, Brazil, an area of intact Amazon rainforest without formal protection. The study was a collaboration between scientific institutions, such as the Field Museum and INPA, and the Kokama, Tikuna, and Kambeba Indigenous communities, aiming to provide an integrated assessment of biodiversity and local human dimensions. The research revealed extraordinary biological diversity and ecological integrity of the region, which is maintained by long-term Indigenous management. Despite cultural resilience and natural wealth, the inventory also identified urgent threats, such as illegal mining and wildlife trafficking, which justify the communities' demands for the demarcation of their lands. The text concludes with policy recommendations for the immediate protection of public forests, territorial recognition based on intercultural evidence, and the strengthening of local governance, aiming at conservation and Indigenous rights.
