Abstract: In this paper it is confirmed by thin layer chromatography analysis (TLC) and infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy the double use of the bark from the myristicaceous Virola theiodora (Spruce ex Benth.) Warb. in the hallucinogenic snuff and arrow poison prepared by indians called Yomanê from Tototobi river at the Brazilian Territory of Roraima.
