| Abstract: | Thymol is the principal component of the essential oils distilled from the leaves of Conobea scoparioides Benth. (Scrophulariaceae), yield 0.6%, and from the aerial parts of the shrub Lippia origanoides H.B.K. (Verbenaceae). Both oils also contain para cymene. |
