Abstract: | A series of 89 Brazilian forest species, for which root characteristics and VA mycorrhizal condition were known, was used to test an aspect of Baylis's magnolioid root hypothesis. A non‐parametric statistical test showed a significant association between magnolioid root characteristics and VA infection. Copyright © 1980, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved |
