Abstract: | In order to assess the diversity and levels of infestation genre-flies Anastrepha in commercial orchards of guava cultivars Paluma and Japanesa, a study was developed in an area of cerrado at Boa Vista, Roraima. In two growing the crop, weekly samples were taken through the McPhail traps and through host fruit. The insects captured were subjected to screening, counting, separation by sex and packaging for later identification. The collected fruits were weighed, counted and packed in controlled temperature and humidity to obtain pupae. After emergence, the flies went through the identification process to define the infestation index in each cultivar. It was found the occurrence of fifteen species of Anastrepha of traps. Of these, five were shown to be present in the fruit. The Anastrepha striata was the species of greatest frequency and importance in both cultivars. The largest infestation levels occurred in the fruits of the Paluma cultivar, but the highest percentage of emergency was obtained in the fruits of Japanese cultivar. Join the first occurrence of Anastrepha parishi culture in guava in Roraima. |
