Abstract: Some 126 fish species in 28 families were captured. Although the 2 stations were separated by a 20m waterfall, the similarity between the two communities was high. In terms of biomass, predator species were dominant, in number of specimens, detritivores were more abundant. Construction of a dam would affect the equilibrium of the fish communties by lowering the number of fish species and changing the composition of the fish communities. -from English summary
