Abstract: | This paper presents the development of a Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) measurement platform to be used with a tree-climbing robot - Kamanbare. The PAR measurement is extremely important when studying impacts on physiological reaction caused by environmental variation on forests, in this case, Amazon Rain Forest. The goal is to develop a platform to be an useful tool for more general environmental research. mstalling the PAR platform on a mobile semi-autonomous robot will provide the ability of taking automatic measurements during a relatively long period of time, increasing in this way the total amount of collected data and providing more reliable results. |
