Abstract: | Colossom mcropomum (Serrasalmidae) and Brycon melanopterum (Characidae) are favorite food fiih in Amazonia. Because the fish catch is very poor when thc water level in the Amazon is high, investigations have been undertaken to find species suitable for aquaculture. Since these two spccics arc promising candidates, the biology of each was studied. |
