New species of Lirata Cameron (Hymenoptera: Eucharitidae) with an identification key and phylogenetic analysis

Abstract

Three new species of Lirata Cameron are described, Lirata basistriata sp. nov. (Brazil and French Guiana), Lirata maranhensis sp. nov. (Brazil) and Lirata spinaelevis sp. nov. (French Guiana). A diagnosis for the genus Lirata is provided, as well as descriptions, images and discussions for new species. In addition, we provide an identification key for the eight species of Lirata. Peculiar phenotypic features are discussed based on proposed relationships of the species as well related genera within the Kapala clade, using both morphological and molecular data. © 2021 Elsevier GmbH
