Abstract

The introduction (Chapter 1) provides general infomation about the delta and the objectives of the book. Chapter 2, on Danube Delta geology, geomorphology, and geochemistry, outlines the dramatic changes the delta underwent during the post-glacial era through the interaction of the sea, wind, Danube River and, finally, human activities.
