Conhecimento de uma nova espécie do Genero Scipopus Enderlein, 1922. (Diptera - Micropezidae)

Abstract

A new species Scipopus souzalopesi, was included by the author in the group constituted by S. erythrocephalus (Fabricius 1805) and S. alvarengai Albuquerque, 1972, because of the similarity in the external morphology and the constitution of the male and female genitalia. With the development of the works, the author will possible include large number of species to permit a generical separation of the groups considered in the foregoin works.
